About the judge
The guest judge this month is Tony Hewitt. Tony has received many awards from the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP); being a ‘Fellow’ is one of them. Not only has he received awards from Australia but also from Overseas. His Photographic journey has seen him explore the genres of Fine Art Photography, Landscape, Portrait and Commercial. He has exhibited both within Australia and Overseas, and has been invited to judge both nationally and internationally since 1995.
Tony’s passion for people, places and picture, and the instinctive sense of moment, brings a unique combination of creative skills, award winning photographic vision and simple creativity.
Subject
The Grace Munday Landscape: A high-quality picturesque view of wild/natural country scenery where solid portions of the earth are predominant. Although they may feature secondarily it is not a seascape or skyscape. (This is a perpetual set subject for August in remembrance of Grace Munday, a club member who passed away in August 2019. Grace’s passion was landscape photography.)
