We are very fortunate to have a very talented local photographer joining us for our first Education evening of the year
Ben Wood was named "Australian Photographer of the Year in the 'Aerial' Category Winner in 2024 and has some amazing images to show us.
Ben's journey into the world of photography began less than two years ago, but he has only really started to take it more seriously recently by understanding his style and getting out of his comfort zone.
He says.. "I'm self taught with no fancy arts degree, just a guy with a camera (and drone)". He goes on to say, "If I were to describe my photography style, well at least what I think about are moments of "sonder"—the realization that everyone around us is living a life as vivid and complex as our own.
Through my lens, I strive to explore and share these moments, delving into the nuances of street, travel, and drone photography. Each photograph is a testament to my new appreciation for creativity and the unique perspectives it unveils".
